Expertise Area: higher education administration, athletic training curriculum development
Dr. Hand serves as Dean of the School of Health Sciences & Human Performance at Catawba College (NC) and has been a Certified Athletic Trainer for 25 years. His experience includes positions as Assistant Athletic Trainer, Clinical Coordinator, Program Director, Department Chair, and now Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance. His specialties are strategic planning, enrollment growth, accreditation, and leadership in the higher education health sciences.
He also has expertise in the prevention, assessment, and treatment of injuries in sport and activity. He has developed a number Emergency Action Plans (EAP) and policy/procedures for risk management strategies in variety of sport facilities.
